Coders use a variety of blocks and sprites to create a multi-page story about a day as a pirate. The purpose of this project is to reinforce the “go to page” blocks and to apply previous understandings across multiple pages.

These lesson plans and activities were developed by Janine Darragh, Gina Petrie, and Stan Pichinevskiy and were previously located on the Reaching for English app. Created for K-12 English teachers in Nicaragua, the materials may be used and adapted for any country's specific context and needs. 

Coders use the repeat block to repeat a silly dance for Scratch Cat using motion blocks. The purpose of this project is to introduce young coders to repeating algorithmic sequences in ScratchJr.

In particular, the lesson will help you identify and help students who have difficulties recognizing and drawing two-dimensional cross-sections at different points along a plane of a representation of a three-dimensional object.

This Demonstration illustrates the concept of rotating a 2D polygon. The rotation matrix is displayed for the current angle. The default polygon is a square that you can modify.

This activity is designed for a primary classroom (outdoors & indoors) investigation where students collect and investigate soil samples and describe the soils, looking for similarities and differences. Students develop a method of recording the data colleted and can present the information gathered.
