Students create a Power Point presentation on a topic of their choice. Then they make this presentation into a screencast using the free program, called Jing. The students do this by narrating their Power Point using a rubric that I've provided.

The project objective is to have students make a realistic 3-D model that is to scale. Student Mission: Your objective is to create a 3-D model of a building of your choice or imagination. The building must be to scale relative to an average-sized person. You make recreate a dwelling, barn or famous building OR create your dream home. Your building must be to scale and should be finished (windows, roof, shutters, steps, furniture, etc.). The outside of your building should include some surrounding features (e.g. bushes, trees, sidewalks, street, shed, etc.). Your final project should incorporate the elements listed on the rubric and be as detailed as possible. Be creative!

In this lesson, students will begin working on their first project in Scratch. This lesson focuses on the advantages of using a pseudocode when preparing to create a project in Scratch. This lesson also refers to some difficulty students may have encountered in lesson 3 when they first started to explore Scratch.

This lesson allows students to work on their keyboarding skills while creating pieces of music.  Students can choose classiccal music, current hits, or just play around with the keyboard. Students will then be able to create an app using Code.org's AppLab that uses a recording of the music they play.

This task is tied to a part of our PBL unit.  Students are to create a video tutorial of an exercise or movement related to a sport and explain the proper way of completing it.

The completeness or integrity of an ecosystem’s biodiversity is often used as a measure of its health. Why is diversity important in an ecosystem?

This lesson is an introductory lesson to Credit. It leads into my other lesson on Creditworthiness nicely. I have included a presentation and a crossword puzzle.

Credit bureaus have evolved into big businesses. The December 2017 issue of Page One Economics: Focus on Finance addresses the growth of credit bureaus and how the credit reports they maintain affect both creditors and borrowers.

This lesson is to help students first learn applicable terms related to credit cards. They will then analyze aspects and features of credit cards to know how to determine which would be best for various situations.

With record-level credit card debt in the headlines, this December 2023 issue of Focus on Finance addresses credit card history, statistics, and usage, as well as reasons for the increase in credit card debt. The information in the article can help in managing credit card accounts, and students will better understand the economics of using revolving credit as they prepare to become cardholders!
