Listen to these adjectives used in context and if you can identify them, then practice describing people using the adjectives.  Don't forget that some adjectives change based on whether you are describing a male or female!

How do you think learning adjectives in Spanish will help you?  How do you foresee yourself using them?



You will find 5 images of people in your family.  You will then create five simple sentences describing what the family member is like from the picture.  For example:


boy reading.jpgEl chico es estudioso.  


Each sentence must identify if the person is a chico OR chica and then use the word "es" to say "is" followed by an adjective.  Make sure that if the adjective is written on your vocabulary list as -a/-o that the ending of the word changes to match whether the person is a boy or girl.

Copy and paste your 5 pictures and 5 sentences.



1. Write a reflection essay answering the following questions:

  • In what ways have you improved in being able to describe people?

  • What do you think is most important about describing people in Spanish?

  • What is one way you can make sure that you are not insulting people when describing them?  Is this hard to remember?  Why or why not?


2. Post an Artifact.

  • Include an artifact(s) that contains specific experiences, readings, assignments, or discussions in this course that supports your point.

  • What did you learn by creating this artifact? Be specific.

  • How did this artifact and other course elements help you reach it? Be specific.
