The Impact of Vision on Learning
Introduction
This material is meant to be a resource for any educators that work with
preschool, elementary and even high school students. As an optometry
student and Master's in Education student, I combined my interests to
create an informational PowerPoint about the basics of vision, normal
vision development, vision anomalies and how they can affect students in
the classroom. The PowerPoint includes all the slides and slide notes,
along with links to helpful websites for parents and teachers. Vision
plays a big role in the classroom, and since many teachers are not aware
of the signs or symptoms of common vision anomalies, it is my hope that
this resource gives them a bit more information to work with. Enjoy!
Note: there are some slides where it says "Survey Time." Please disregard those. This project was used as my thesis, and I did surveys to get feedback from the people I presented to.
