Share Your OER with Google Classroom
Users of OER Commons can share resources with their Google Classroom™ account with the click of a button. Once you've found the resource you'd like to use in your class, simply open the resource and click the Google Classroom™ icon.
To see the Google Classroom™tool in action, please watch this short screencast:
Whether you are using an OER Commons Open Author resource or an externally hosted resource, once you click the Share to Classroom button the workflow is the same. Here is a step-by-step walkthrough of adding a resource to Classroom:
Select and open the OER you'd like to share with your class.
When you click on the Google Classroom™logo, you will be asked to log into your Google Classroom™account.
Once you have logged into your account, you will be asked to select the Class with which you would like to share the resource. Once you have selected your class, click GO.
Now you have entered the Google Classroom™workflow and are in your Class. Next, you will select the action. For the purposes of this we will "Create assignment" and click GO.
On the next screen, you can add instructions to your students, select a Due Date, assign, schedule, or save a draft of this resource.
You will then see a notification screen indicating that you have successfully posted the resource to your Google Classroom™ class. If you would like to see the resource within your class, click View.
Finally, this is how your OER Commons resource will appear in your Google Classroom™Class.
