School Lunches Debate
Driving Question:
Are the new healthier school lunches actually healthier? Are the healthy benefits worth the drop in students who do not eat lunches?

Purpose:
Determine whether the old, or new school lunch is more beneficial.
Discover the nutritional information and benefits of both the old, and new school lunches.
Encourage consideration of opposing viewpoints regarding appropriate change for school lunches.
Culminating Activity Format:
The students will split off into two groups to support and defend the different sides of the argument. The two groups will research and form a strong argument for their side. Their research will include statistics and opinions from different sources. After all research is gathered, the students will participate in a debate, defending their side of the issue.
Rubric:
The students will be graded on their research that they gathered, their ability to debate, and their ability to answer questions on their argument.
