Kolb's Learning Styles
Learning is combination of how we do things (represented by the process continuum) and how we think about things (perception continuum).
The Perception Continuum
There are two ways of thinking about things (i) concrete experience(CE)--- being involved in a new experience by actually feeling it and (ii) abstract conceptualization(AC)--creating theories to explain observations by thinking about it.
The Process Continuum
This includes (i) reflective observation(RO): watching others or developing observations about own experience and (ii) active experimentation(AE): by actually doing things and using theories to solve problems or make decisions.
this gives us two intersecting axes as shown below. Each quadrant represents a definite learning style
