45 minutes to one hour
TIME REQUIRED FOR TEACHER PREPARATION:
Less than ten minutes
MATERIALS FOR LESSON:

- paper towels
- sink with hot and cold water
- video cameras
- computer with video editing software

Using the CDC guidelines listed above, you will create an organized handwashing activity for your students. You will read and practice these steps with your students. After you practice handwashing, you will have your students assemble in groups of 3-4 and have them create a proper handwashing technique video to share with other classmates. The students can be creative with their PSA on handwashing. The goal of these videos are to select one to share with the student body and faculty. How you select the video will be up to you.
