Students will learn about nutritional minerals by looking at what they do for the body, foods they are found in, and diseases associated with over- or underconsumption.
Objective: The student will understand the importance of minerals in the body, their function in the body, food sources, and deficiencies associated to a lack or excess of a particular mineral. Procedure:
Watch this video to introduce students to minerals.
Go through this Google Slides presentation to cover the minerals content more in depth.
The last slide has the requirements of the commercial/public service announcement. Give students 30-45 minutes to work on their product.
