Making Connections

When I think about new information, I use my knowledge, experiences, and good reasoning strategies to draw connections and make many inferences.

I make good inferences by making connections between my background knowledge and what I am learning.

Sometimes, I try to make inferences about what I am learning.

I do not make inferences about what I am learning.

Monitoring Thinking

I modify my inferences and make new ones as I learn more information.

I recognize when my inferences are not right and make new ones.

Sometimes, I do not change my inferences even when the information shows that I am wrong.

Once I make an inference, I do not change it.
