Making Connections

I use my prior knowledge of the subject area, my own experiences, and generalizations and principles about the content to find connections and make logical inferences.

I use information from a variety of sources to make inferences about information.

Sometimes, I use what I already know to make inferences, but some of them do not really make sense.

I do not think about what I am learning beyond just the facts.

Monitoring

I continually make inferences about new information, revising them when I find out more information.

I make new inferences and revise old ones as I learn more information.

If I am reminded, I make new inferences and revise old ones as I learn more information.

I do not make new inferences as I learn.
