Indiana Standard:

 6.AF.7: Understand that signs of numbers in ordered pairs indicate the quadrant containing the point; recognize that when two ordered pairs differ only by signs, the locations of the points are related by reflections across one or both axes. Graph points with rational number coordinates on a coordinate plane.

Objective:

      1. Students will know the definitions for coordinate plane, coordinate, and origin.

      2. Students will be able to label the x-axis and y-axis on a coordinate plane.

      3. Students will be able to plot points on a coordinate plane when given an ordered pair.

      4. Given a point in a coordinate plane, students will be able to write the ordered pair.
