Indiana Standard:

 8.GM.8: Apply the Pythagorean Theorem to determine unknown side lengths in right triangles in real-world and other mathematical problems in two dimensions.

Objective: Students will be able to solve problems using the Pythagorean Theorem.

Procedure: The teacher will deliver the Google document titled Pythagorean Theorem. Students will:

1. Watch a video.
2. Take notes (in spiral notebook) from a video example and complete the 5 problems showing the work on paper.
3. Complete two real world problems (baseball and ladders) in spiral notebook.
4. Follow the link to five online problems. Complete them showing work. Check the answers and rework as needed.
5. Work on the IXL 7th grade standards listed and show work (approx. 20-30 minutes).
