BUSINESS TELEPHONIC EXPRESSIONS 

In the bussiness world, knowing how to handle telephonic communication is a basic and elemental tool. Distance, either short or long, makes it more practical to communicate through telephone for certain bussiness. Saying the right words, making the right expressions and clear communication can make a difference when in bussiness. 

These expressions can be used for giving information, making contact, leaving and/or taking a message, taking a call, asking a caller to wait, etc. 

Some of the most commonly used expressions are: 

WHEN ANSWERING

Hello (Hola), 

Good morning (Buenos días), 

Good afternoon (Buenas tardes), 

This is *name* speaking... (Este es *nombre* hablando), 

I'd like to speak to... (Quisiera hablar con...).

HELPING

Can I help you? (¿Puedo ayudarle?), 

Could you call back latter? (¿Podría llamas después?), 

Would you like to leave a message? (¿Le gustaría dejar un mensaje?), 

Could you ask him/her to call me back? 

(¿Podría decirle que me regrese la llamada?), 

Could you tell him/her that I called? (¿Podría decirle que llamé?), 

Could you give me your name please? (¿Podría darme su nombre por favor?, 

Could you spell that please? (Podría deletrear eso por favor?,
