Engineering and the Periodic Table

Engineering keeps our world going. We invent new things and improve on old. Lots of things are used when we engineer something, including the periodic table.

There are a few non-corrosive metals on the periodic table. ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), palladium (Pd), silver (Ag), osmium (Os), iridium (Ir), platinum (Pt), and gold (Au) are all non-corrsive metals. We need these to engineer many things. To make boat withstand the ocean for an extended amount of time. Airplanes need it while there are flying through harsh weather conditions. We need them for spaceships, bridges, cars and many other things in our everyday lives.
