Tropical Cyclones

Tropical cyclone is a storm with low pressure system and forms over warm oceans in the eastern part of the continent. It moves in a clockwise direction from east to west. It is indicated by an L on the Map and you see an eye in the satellite image.

Characteristics

Has an eye with an eyewall, moves from east to west, moves in a clockwise direction.

Requirements for formation

Warm temperature, high humidity, Coriolis force, Strong winds. Condensation.

Evacuating people, Delivery of food, shelter and health service.

Prevention

Cyclone tracking and warning systems.
