Super Hero Solutions Project
Super Hero Solutions is a school-wide, cross-curricular PBL project originally designed and conducted at Tri-County Early College High School in the winter of 2017-18. The project's primary goal is to allow students to confront how to plan for, respond to, and/or recover from natural disasters, as articulated in the project's Driving Question: "How can we identify problems and create practical solutions to support communities impacted by natural disasters?" In Fall of 2017, the United States and other parts of the world were struck by multiple catastrophic disasters, including hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, as well as wildfires and mudslides in the western U.S. Students are tasked with answering the Driving Question in a way that offers a product or service that is developed with the help of outside experts and incorporates real-world applications of academic and 21st Century Skill competencies.
