Overview: In this lesson, students will particpate in three separate learning activities. These activities are each made to help improve the students' knowledge of creating real-world problems to represent an addition and a subraction equation within 20. At the end of the lesson, there is an assessment in order to check the effectivenss of the learning activities
Learning Goals
Students will be able to create real-world problems using addition and subtraction equations within 20.
Cluster: Represent and solve problems involving addition and subtraction
Standard: Use addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
