This rubric is meant for upper elementary aged students who have learned the very basics of evaluating a website. It has been created to evaluate websites as if the student was looking for a website to use for a school research project. The rubric is meant to be used after the concept of website evaluation and the essential elements of a website that should be evaluated have been introduced to the students. After these concepts have been introduced, students can use this rubric to practice locating evaluation criteria and assess them using a simple rating scale. The ratings are used to determine a "grade" for the website and form an overall opinion of the usefulness and validity of the website.
