Bell Ringer: Discuss at your table what foods you believe contain grains.

Activities (i.e. instructions, lesson, lab or project):

Using the Grains Power Point,  go through and discuss each slide.  Make sure to give students time on discussion questions.  While going through the PP, have students utilize the guided worksheet.

Closure:

Students will write a summary paragraph on their Google Form discussing what they discovered today in class.

Assessment :

Summative - Unit Test over MyPlate

Formative - Use discussion questions to go back and re-discuss wrong information and allow students to ask questions
