Students will play a speed dating game to get to know each other and discuss their summer.

Materials Needed

Warm-Up
1. Begin by introducing the Can-Dos for today's activity.
2. Using available internet accessible devices (smartphone, laptop, tablet), find an image of something important that happened this summer (news, movie, games, etc.)
3. Describe this event as concisely as possible.
Main Activity
1. Partner-up with another student and sit across from each other.
Mettez vous en équipe avec un autre étudiant et asseyez-vous face à face.
2. Choose one of the questions and discuss with each other for 2-3 minutes.
Choisissez une question et discutez entre-vous durant 2-3 minutes.
3. Once the timer has expired, one of the two partners will rotate and sit with another person.

4. With your new partner, answer the next question from the list below.

- Avec qui as-tu passé la majorité de ton été ? (Who did you spend the most of your summer with?)
- Quelle a été la partie que tu as le moins aimée durant l’été ? (What was your least favorite part of the summer?)
- De quoi as-tu hâte pour le présent semestre ? (What are you looking forward to this semester?)
- Est-ce que tu as voyagé cet été ? (Did you travel anywhere this summer?)
- Quelle était ta partie favorite de l’été ? (What is your favorite part of summer?)
- As-tu pris des cours d’été ? (Did you take any summer classes?)
- Quel type d’exercice as-tu fait durant l’été ? (What kind of (if any) exercise did you do this summer?)
- Comment as-tu pratiqué ton français ? (How did you keep up on your French?)
Wrap-Up
Ask the following question(s) to finish the activity:
- Désirez-vous partager une autre histoire survenue durant votre été ? (Any other summer stories you want to share?)
