I will explain how the visual arts project applies to the English standards.

I will explain how to make the diorama by using the key vocabulary for visual arts.

Students will work on their projects.

Assessment and Reflection

Content Assessment:  The diorama will depict a scene from the novel.

Arts Assessment:  The standards should be present in their projects.

Student Reflection:  Students told me they were having so much fun!

Teacher Reflection:  I thought this lesson went well.  I did not want not overwhelm students with too many visual arts terms.  I thought three was good.  Students said this was so much fun.
