Warm-up

Music Training

Share your screen and make sure to also click the share computer audio so they can hear the music. 

  1. Students find a song that they like.
  2. They then choose what level they want but a beginner level is recommended.
  3. They should choose then choose the to fill mode instead of write mode (in the top right corner of the video area.)
  4. They don't have to make an account.
  5. They can repeat a line (or it will automatically repeat if they miss the word) and can also pause the video if they need to catch up.

Main Activity

Oral Interview

  1. Students will be put in pairs and assigned A or B cards. Share the link to these cards in the chat!
  2. They will go into breakout rooms and conduct interviews, asking and answering questions that will go off each other.
    1. Lab assistants should go into breakout rooms making sure students are interviewing each other.
  3. Students will return to the main room once finished.

Wrap-up

​​​​​​Have students share what German artists they like.  Lassen Sie die Schüler erzählen, welche deutschen Künstler sie mögen.

Ask if there are other types of German music they enjoy?  Fragen Sie, ob es andere Arten deutscher Musik gibt, die sie mögen?

  • Read can-do statements and have students evaluate their confidence with cards.
  • Encourage students to be honest in their self-evaluation.
  • Pay attention, and try to use feedback for future labs!
