    Listening to classmates speaking in German about summer activities and favorite German phrases.  Valuing the German language learning that has happened over the past semester.  Klassenkameraden zuhören, die auf Deutsch über Sommeraktivitäten und deutsche Lieblingssätze sprechen. Wertschätzung des Deutschlernens im letzten Semester.

    Value associated with German language learning.  Value of each classmate. Wert, der mit dem Erlernen der deutschen Sprache verbunden ist. Wert jedes Mitschülers.

    Warm-Up

    Main Activity

    What will/would you like to do this summer?
    Was wird / möchtet ihr diesen Sommer machen?

    Wrap-Up

    Ask students the following question to finish the activity:

    • Was ist ihre lieblings Phrasen auf Deutsch? (What is your favorite German phrase?)

    Example:

    Everything has an end, only the sausage has two.
    Alles hat ein Ende, nur die Wurst hat zwei.

    • Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate
      their confidence.
