2. I evaluated the rubric using stars and I left a comment. I felt these were more appropriate than the rubric since the rubric refers to CCSS rather than the MLS. I like the stars because they provide a quick visual to someone who is searching and the comments provide valuable feedback for the teacher who posted and someone who is considering using the resource.

3.  You could easily add video clips showing other groups of immigrants - news reports from the border where immigrants are trying to enter the US - or more quotes, graphics from more recent situations involving immigrants.

2. I chose to evaluate this resource with the rubric and stars. I have always wanted to try the rubric so I used it today and learned that not all resources might be complete enough to meet the criteria on the rubric. For example, this resource was not a stand-alone resource, but would be great as an activity in a course on action research. The star rating was very easy to do!

3. I would add a little bit more about how instructors might use this resource to explain what it is. Also, there are some links to additional sources to encourage students to think deeper, but it is unclear what about the link should make students think (I believe the links may be out of date). This resource could also be more developed to include many more data collection instruments, or at least a survey of students.

2.  I used stars because I use stars a lot in previous evaluation work that I have completed.  

3. I would remix the resource to be a more coherent flow of questions so students understand we are looking a light in all of the situations.  Additionally, there is a repeat question that needs to be fixed in the materials plus a few typos.

Would it be beneficial to have a MO specific rubric or does the Common's built in rubric work well?

I think a MO rubric might be helpful to focus on the things educators would want to know, like things we are point out here--alignmnent, updates needed for links and grammar, completeness of resource, etc.

2. I did a star evaluation. I personally like looking at star ratings to get a quick glimpse when I'm on most sites. 

3. Since it's a 5th grade resource I'd maybe add a few more photos.

I rated it and left 4 stars. This is a sweet and easy read about music theory but I think it should offer more interactive modules. I say that realizing that might be hard to do with a book but nevertheless- it'd help the learning musician.

   1. I evaluated the resource with commenys because I wanted to give a future user a better explanation of why I used this resources.  I commented that it was a user friendly resources and relevant to the middle school classroom.  I also added tags.
