Accessibility of H5P
by Yvonne Klein 2 years agoDear All
During the first meeting of the OER Creator Workshop, someone asked Oriane about the accessibility of H5P. She had a look at it and here is what she found:
- H5P indicated which content types are accessible or not. I think for creators, this page is helpful to identify when an H5P element (e.g. questionnaire) might not be accessible and therefore they should be cautious before using those and consider possible alternatives. However, I would still recommend authors to be critical about accessibility (i.e. follow best practices and standards, test content, be careful with adding interactive features due to cognitive overload, etc.)
- I also found this Workshop on H5P and Accessibility. I think it is a good introduction to the topic. You will see that the video also mention general best practices that you already know as well as Universal Design for Learning (with examples!)
And of course, as usual, Oriane and Alireza are happy to help out with your accessibility journey 😊
