OERwest Network

Group Description

The OERwest Network includes WICHE member states and territory OER western leaders committed to increasing access, affordability, and equity by exploring and sharing effective strategies for scaling the adoption and sustaining of high-quality OER usage regionally. The goals of the network include:

1. Identifying mutual challenges to the adoption, development, and scaling of OER and strategize solutions to meet the needs of western states and territories.

2. Identifying methods of assessing and evaluating the impact and outcomes of OER activities on closing equity, postsecondary attainment, and skills gaps for all students in the west.

3. Embedding equity as an essential characteristic of high-quality OER policy, practice, and research in our work.

4. Increasing cross-collaboration among states to grow and scale OER across the west.
