What is CCL?
Oregon Department of Education defines Career Connected Learning (CCL) as a framework of career awareness, exploration, preparation, and training. CCL represents a crucial aspect of Oregon's education system and economic development strategy as it equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the workforce. By addressing skill gaps and providing opportunities for underrepresented students to access high-demand careers, CCL not only reduces barriers to graduation, but it also promotes equity and inclusion in the workforce. In turn, this helps build a strong and thriving economy for the state, benefitting both businesses and workers.
