In this activity, students will play a bingo game in order to help practice recognizing radicals used in Chinese characters. Students will be shown a radical, and will then search for a vocabulary word that contains that radical. Students will also practice tones and pronunciation by reading out their winning vocabulary at the end of each round of bingo.

Students will take turns picking cards from different categories to fit together in a short story. Students will then share their short story out loud. Students will also read invitations for different types of parties and answer comprehension questions.

In this activity students will use an interactive Google Slideshow to choose different places around China to explore a mini trip to that place. Students will choose a location, and in that location they will choose an activity and food based on limited clues, allowing each choice to be a surprise and expose students to different experiences in China they might not have known about previously.
