This book introduces students to the fundamental aspects of the history, philosophy, and science of the astronomical universe. It will provide students an opportunity to learn and appreciate the world of Astronomy and how it relates to their other studies, their careers and their lives as citizens and professionals. Students will discover the phenomena of our solar system and beyond - planets and moons, asteroids and meteors, stars and black holes, constellations and galaxies and several other phenomena

Introductory Astronomy  is designed to meet the requirements of a one semester basic course in Astronomy. This eBook begins with relevant scientific fundamentals and progresses through an exploration of the solar system, stars, galaxies, and cosmology. It builds student understanding through the use of relevant multimedia resources clear and non-technical explanations, and illustrations. Mathematics is included in a flexible manner to meet the needs of undergraduate students.
