What is GVSCAPES?

The current challenges in the English language classrooms are students’ lack of interest in conventional teaching and learning activities and their limited attention span. In view of this, the gamification element is injected inside the classroom by utilising a creative approach to the existing conventional scavenger hunt game. The implementation of an android application with AR capability allows the students to play educational quizzes.

The novelty and inventiveness of GVSCAPES:

1.The teaching and learning activities are mobilised at several locations in UMS.

2.Students are given more autonomy to navigate their own learning pace.

3.Students’ social communication and digital technology skills are enhanced which is in line with the the communicative aspects in English Language Teaching (ELT) and IR4.0

4. Students are able to learn the English grammar via visually stimulating content (e.g. digital and interactive animations).
