Criteria

Firstly, we need to be familiar with the assessment criteria of academic IELTS writing. Here we go!

To summarize, 4 criteria are as follows:

1) Task achievement/ Task response (never off topic)

2) Coherence & Cohesion (passage structure & connection)

3) Lexical resource (a wide range of vocabulary)

4) Grammatical range and accuracy (accurate grammar and  a wide range of sentence structure)
