Online Resource for young Maori secondary students living in isolated rural communites.

This resource has being designed for Secondary Schools in isolated rural Maori communities to provide guidance and support for their students, and to share, learn, think and research knowledge and information that impacts their school life including the many challenges they endure in regards to living in isolation.  It is also an innovative teaching tool in terms of homework, current teaching programme or basic dialogue between teacher and pupils.

The content of this resource includes curriculum and extra curricular subjects, Te Reo, Maori history, and video and photo sharing.  

One of it's many focuses is based on the revitalization of the Maori language, customs and protocols.

The current units in this Online Educational Resource has being specifically designed for the students of Te Wharekura o Ruatoki.  This Secondary Maori school is situated in the isolated community of Ruatoki, in the heart of the Te Urewera bush located in the North Island of New Zealand.
