Root Search Engine is an engine hosted by the University of Leeds that allows users to search for the meaning of any Arabic root. To use the search engine, users must type the desired root in Arabic. Users also have the option of using the installed Yamli plug-in, which converts words typed with Latin characters to their closest Arabic equivalent. The engine provides results from various dictionaries such as Lis_n Al-ÔArab, among many others.

Wictionary is a free dictionary that gives definitions in 170 different languages. The dictionary only gives definitions within the language, not from language to language. Intended as a lexical companion to the encyclopedia project Wikipedia, Wictionary includes etymologies, pronunciations, quotations, synonyms, and antonyms where appropriate. Users can add definitions by creating an account. Certain words for Arabic also include masdars. An audio component is included for certain languages, Arabic not among them.

This is a company that teaches the Lebanese language; it is argued here that it is not in fact a dialect of Arabic but a separate language. Publications forthcoming in 2013 are Lebanese at a Glance Phrasebook and CD, and 2000 Lebanese Verb Conjugations. There are also future plans to teach the Lebanese language online; currently all 101 materials are available as downloadable PDFs. Also available is a Lebanese-English-Lebanese dictionary, numbers, pronouns, and more.
