Description: Students will go through an orientation presentation and quiz to cover the activity rules and philosophies. They will also introduce themselves to the class.
Students will go learn more about how conversation activities will be facilitated and introduce themselves to one another. If there is enough time the students will strengthen their knowledge of the German alphabet by playing Hangman.
This game helps students use descriptions to describe a word. Students will learn how to use other vocabulary words to have their peers guess a particular word. Students will also get to play Hangman to help with their fingerspelling skills.
The students will have a selection of different games to practice katakana with. Start with bingo to practice the basic characters and prepare the students for more difficult games. Then, choose either the matching game or the hangman game to practice entire katakana words with the students. If time permits, you can transition into whichever game you have not already played.
