    Warm Up and Main Activity

Lead-in or Warm-up (2-3 minutes): Understanding statements described with classifiers

There are three types of cards (stripes, circles, and hearts). Each type has three images on them that look similar.

Display one type of card to the students using screensharing. The instructor will then sign one of the images on the card and describe the card using classifiers.

Students will then guess what picture their lab instructor described.

The lab instructor will then sign the correct image and tell everyone if they were right or wrong.
Continue this step for the next category of cards

    Main activity: Fingerspelling Quiz!

The lab instructor will then sign the first 10 words. Sign each word two times (once faster than normal, and once at normal speed). Have students write down the words that were fingerspelled.

Once all 10 are signed, go over the words with the students and discuss which were hard/why. If they are struggling, have them practice fingerspelling the words themselves.

Repeat this process again with the next ten words.
**Only fingerspell each word a maximum of two times**
