In this activity, students will practice accepting and/or rejecting formal invitations to an afternoon or evening together.

Students will act out a popular movie trailer in the target language. Keeping with the original plot of the movie, students have to act out the trailer as if it were a different genre.

The students will watch a comedy skit from a Japanese TV show that encourages students to think outside of the box. The students will then choose a broad topic from a list of topics and attempt to list as many things as they can regarding that topic. The most creative students will win.

Students will warm-up with practice regarding familiar fairy-tales. They will then read or watch a Japanese folk-tale and discuss the story together. They will finish with some questions that analyze the message of the story and compare the story to folk-tales from their home culture.

Students will write correct and accurate tones after listening to the instructor speak the short sentences and phrases out loud, then read back their answers to check accuracy and practice speaking with accurate tones.

In this activity, students will discuss technology. Students will also practice interacting with an employee to determine how to fix their product or obtain a new one.

The students will start by having a simple conversation. Then they will move into a speed dating activity. They will be using the questions that they created during the previous lab. To wrap things up they will talk about how they are going to practice their Spanish over break.

Students will have a "Meet and Greet Party" where they will pretend to be someone else, such as "Shakira." They will practice introducing themselves, greeting others, and talking about how they feel. They will also learn greetings that are appropriate for different times of the day as well as quickly review the differences between tú and usted.

In this activity, students will talk about their hobbies and what they like to do in their free time. During the warm up, a fun game will help students to review vocabulary and the main activity will provide numerous speaking opportunities.

In this activity, students will practice accepting and rejecting invitations. This includes students getting the chance to create their own invitation and invite students to activities. Students will learn more about activities, parties, times, and dates in Spanish. Students will also learn how to politely accept and reject invitations. Students will also learn how to ask questions about specific information relating to parties and events.

In this activity, students will discuss Spain's New Year 12 grape tradition, going on dates in their own city, and their own holiday traditions. This activity could be modified from focusing primarily on the L1 culture to the L2 culture in order to integrate more culture into the activity. This activity is more conversation based and less culture based, though it does discuss some Spanish traditions.

Students will learn how to describe nature and explain their opinions regarding the environment. Students will also be able to communicate with others and present their opinions to the rest of the class on their ideas on nature.
