About me
Welcome! I am very excited to be involved in this initiative and would love to share some information about me!
I grew up in Mint Hill, NC and graduated from Butler High School before going on to attend North Carolina State University. I have lived in Raleigh and Winston Salem, teaching middle school science in both cities before moving back to my hometown to teach biology and oceanography at the high school I graduated from (Go Bulldogs!). In my spare time, I love anything outdoors including camping, hiking, and going to the beach with my fiancé and our dog, Moose. I am not a huge sports fan, but I do love to cheer on the Panthers and my Wolfpack whenever football season starts.
In addition to being born and bred a WOLFPACK fan, I found my love for teaching while I attended NC State. I strive to incorporate technology in my classroom on a daily basis and I am always researching new things to try!
