About me
Trey Smith taught science, social studies, and engineering in Philadelphia public schools for seven years. In 2015, the Library of Congress selected Trey to be its first-ever Science Teacher-in-Residence. In his role at the Library he explored the use of historical primary sources to strengthen STEM learning.
Trey lives in Evanston, IL, and is a PhD student in the learning sciences at Northwestern University. His research focuses on supporting teachers as they design and test expanded visions for what counts as learning in science education spaces.
