About me
I am the Chairperson and Associate Professor for the bachelor's and master's degree programs in health information management at Coppin State University, a historically black institution in Baltimore, MD. I have been in education since the inception of our program in 2006. I have been in the profession of health information since the mid-80s. I recently graduated with my Ph.D. in Psychometrics from Morgan State University. My research interests are working with and advocating for students with learning disabilities in postsecondary education. My research includes making the teaching and learning experience inclusive, training faculty on including DEI in their course instruction and design, and identifying appropriate accommodations so students can engage in the learning experience and not just be given additional time to complete assessments.
