About me
During my 20 year career in education, I have taught at the university, community college, technical college and high school levels. Currently, I am an Associate Professor at Northshore Technical Community College. I earned both a M.S. degree and a B.S. degree in biological sciences from the University of New Orleans. My research emphasis was on water quality changes on benthic invertebrates in Lake Pontchartrain.
I am excited to be a part of open education. A major obstacle that many students face is the expense of obtaining textbooks for their courses. Many students end up not buying textbooks, causing them to struggle in their courses, often impacting their final grade. I think that the OER books are well-written and organized and very easy to access. I hope that the resources I created will help many instructors and students with using open education resources!
