About me
The words of Malcolm X serve as a reminder that, “Education is our passport to the future for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”. In my classroom these words were prominently displayed, serving as a mantra to motivate my students to reach their highest academic potential. My commitment as an educator in elementary and middle-school classrooms has afforded me an opportunity to prepare students marginalized based on race, culture, language, economic status, and educational ability for academic success.
Furthermore, my work as a teacher educator and emerging researcher provides an opportunity prepare exceptional teachers to support the academic achievement of all learners.
