About me

I hold a Ph.D in Child Development that I earned from the University of Tennessee/Knoxville, an M.Ed. in elementary education from Lesley University, and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Wellesley College. I taught human development and early childhood education at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa from 1996-2013, and have served as Associate Dean of the School of Education at Drake University since 2013.

I am also a spiritual director. I completed a three-year training program through the Des Moines Area Pastoral Care Center. My spiritual direction website is catherinewilsongillespie.com
