About me

I am an ESOL specialist at a rural high school, in a small Oregon coast town. I am a classroom instructor part time, as well as a part-time academic language coach in my building.

Major influences to my thinking include: bell hooks, Saul D. Alinsky, Audre Lorde, Eduardo Galeano, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Mary Oliver, Yrsa Daley-Ward, adrienne marie browne, and tons of fiction.

I love to travel, most frequently to cities such as Vancouver, BC and Mexico City. I play the piano. I make mixed-media found-item art arrangements out of things like bird skulls, old jewelry, and dried flowers. I actively boycott Amazon. I have 12 nieces & nephews and they're my constant inspirations.
