About me
Dr. John J. Doherty is currently the Head of Research and Instruction Services (formerly, Teaching Learning and Research Services) at Northern Arizona University’s Cline Library and co-leads (with Theresa Carlson) the library's contributions to Open Educational Resources.
Doherty was a co-recipient of the also earned the Online Learning Consortium’s Effective Practice award for 2015. He was recently inducted into the NAU chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society faculty and staff awardees.
As an author and researcher, Doherty has focused on online learning pedagogies and practices, affordable learning materials best practices, and librarianship in fiction. He also teaches on contemporary crime and thriller fiction (especially from Northern Ireland) and the Arthurian Legend.
