About me

Own Your History® (OYH) creates inclusive fact-based U.S. History curricula, resources & workshops. We prepare students and adults of all ages and backgrounds to become better-informed citizens for advancing our nation’s promise of achieving a more equitable, just, and democratic society. Americans have unfinished business.

Our divisions are grounded in American history and reflected in today’s conflicts.

OYH focuses on historical facts as a basis for better understanding our shared past. This creates opportunities to work together in building a better future.

OYH is an initiative of The Reconciliation Education Project, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

All OYH lessons, handbooks, and multimedia materials have been published in digital form on Open Education Resources (OER) Commons. All are freely available for non-commercial educational users under a Creative Commons license, here.
