Exploring Climate Science with Virtual Reality

Exploring Ambitious Science Teaching Tools,  Developing Formative Classroom Tasks

Explore the philosophy, tools and resources available on the Ambitious Science teaching website that can help in planning formative classroom tasks.   With partners decide upon a type of classroom task to develop for use in classroom instruction that has potential to provide formative information for further instruction and learning.   Working with Virtual Reality Scientists and Engineers, shared out feedback on student use of the first draft iteration the climate science game simulating climate choices and consequences. Students will continue to beta test the draft simulation in order to provide feedback to VR scientists for modifications.    For a beta version of the Clime Time Climate Science Simulation from PNNL and ESD 123 e-mail stem.education@pnnl.gov .  You will need to provide the e-mail with which you registered your Oculus go device.  The final version will but available for free on the Oculus Go Store by November 2019.
