Long Description:
The Fundamentals for Success in College prepares students for academic and professional success. Learners will define their learning styles, identify their strengths and needs and develop a personal academic success plan. Learners will further their academic and professional success skills through this resource by studying different learning strategies. These include study skills, note-taking, test-taking skills, improving memory, reading skills, time management strategies, goal setting, self-care, personal health and wellness, budgeting in college, and digital literacy. An in-depth understanding of APA referencing, as well as academic integrity, is included in this OER. This textbook also focuses on professional deportment. Learners will get an insight into Field Placement and the role of professionalism in a successful placement. They will learn a variety of formats to prepare a professional resume and cover letter.
