This website aims to teach the basics of Arabic to enabler users to read the Qur'an. The website breaks down YouTube video lectures into six levels of lessons, starting with the Arabic alphabet and working up through more complicated rules of recitation. Lessons also include letters that can be clicked on to see how they are drawn and word combinations with audio components so learners can hear how they are properly pronounced. The lessons are available for download, as are several PDF files relating to the study of the Qur'an.

Let's Learn Arabic is a tutorial designed to introduce users to reading and writing in Arabic. The tutorial is composed of a total of five lessons and begins with a brief historical background about the language. The first and second lessons provide an introduction to the letters that make up the alphabet. The next three give a number of example demonstrating how to combine the letters into words. Audio files demonstrating the names of all of the letters are provided.

This Remote Learning Plan was created by Brandee Drahota in collaboration with Rick Meyer as part of the 2020 ESU-NDE Remote Learning Plan Project. The attached Remote Learning Plan is designed for kindergarten students. This alphabet sound lesson uses the story Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault as an introduction to alphabet identification. 

This website provides a list of basic, common words and expressions in Arabic in both Arabic script and in transliteration. It is intended to give learners a basic set of stock phrases to use if going overseas. Links to YouTube videos of common phrases is included in the website, as is a multiple choice test. The test is in transliteration. A similar list and test is also available for Moroccan Arabic. Information on the Arabic alphabet is available, as is a link to the Speak7 website for more in-depth lessons.

For English speakers, the Malayalam writing system, or script, may look intimidating. It’s not really. It works a little differently and requires some memorization, but the script is phonetic, meaning that you say it as you write it (mostly!), and syllabic, meaning that it’s based on an alphabet and the syllables you can make with an alphabet. With some hard work, you can learn the script within a week and never look back.

Information on verb conjugations, the measures system, pronouns, and other Arabic grammar lessons are available, as are lessons on how to read the Qur'an.

This is an activity for Kindergarten-1st Grade. The idea is to build phonemic awareness skills and sight word skills. Students make a 5 page letter/word book. Each student chooses letters from their name or will spell their entire name. taking different mediums(fabric, art items, puzzles, paper) and glue, students create their letters/names or words on card stock.

This online Arabic tutorial from the University of Maryland offers information on the alphabet, basics in grammar such as pronouns and verb conjugations, numbers, qualifying adjectives, time and date, and other various vocabulary activities focusing on things such as the parts of the body and greetings. Each tutorial section comes with a comprehensive quiz. Audio components are available to listen to the various vocabulary words.

Students practice writing letters of the alphabet and explore how decorated letters can be used to convey stories or symbolic ideas. They create an "illuminated" alphabet in which each letter conveys concepts of home and family.

Part of a larger website concerning education, this set of Arabic quizzes are user generated and contain more than 30 quizzes. Arabic quizzes include topics such as vocabulary, letter sounds, the alphabet, and more. Quizzes are timed and scores can be recorded and kept track of. Registering allows users to create their own quizzes.
