Students will have a chance to get acquainted with the other students in their lab group. Additionally, they will review vocabulary they learned in previous semesters. Students will discuss their likes and dislikes, explaining their preferences. This is a great lab to start the year off.

Students will begin this course by introducing themselves and describing their hometowns to their partner. They will utilize their language and share as much as they can

For this lab, students will get the chance to ask in depth questions and get detailed answers about someone's likes and interests. Students will practice asking and answering in depth questions and explain preferences. They will also have the opportunity to talk about past experiences with gift giving.

In this activity, students will review by talking about things revolving around the university, family, and vacations, using memorized vocabulary. Students will be interviewed by each other based on scenarios provided. Students will ask and answer questions entirely in Spanish.

In this activity, students will have the opportunity to create a campaign commercial to run as the new president of Boise State. They will practice using vocabulary related to governments and actions that political figures take. Students will be able to discuss preferences relating to politics and government.

In this activity, students will have the opportunity to practice greetings and introductions by practicing vocabulary appropriate for certain times of the day and practicing formal/informal greetings.

In this activity students will play a game to review greeting, nationalities and time phrases. Throughout the quiz, there will be some supplementary discussion questions to help further reinforce concepts covered in class.

This activity allows students to practice asking each other questions related to who someone is. Students will practice answering questions about physical characteristics.

This lab will help students learn how to physically describe people, as well as ask questions about a person's physical characteristics.

This is a Novice Low, ASL 101 lab. It includes having students practice how to describe a person's physical appearance.

Students will be introduced to appropriate greetings based on the time of day. They will practice using the correct phrases and greetings they learn. Students will then practice recognizing and reading hiragana through the hangman game. 

In this lab, students will discuss birthday parties and presents. They will also discuss where they would go to buy the presents and how they would decide which presents they would give to the friends. They will explain why they choose to buy the presents they do, explaining preferences to others.

Students will be able to recount events that have happened to them using vocabulary about health and body parts. Students will learn to discuss injuries, illness, and medical related events. Students will also learn more about insurance and medical costs.

Students will practice asking and answering questions. Students will also practice using facial expressions. Students will learn about the importance of facial expressions in Deaf culture. 

This lab explains the importance of facial expressions to students. They will get to play a fun game that will also help them work on asking questions and giving descriptions.

In this activity, students will play the game heads up with vocabulary covered throughout the semester to review for the final exam.

Students will learn to describe people and items using learned descriptive vocabulary. Students will practice guessing items and people based on the descriptions provided.

In this activity, students will learn what medicines treat which conditions and which relieve symptoms of illness in the target language. Students will learn to describe medicines and symptoms to be relieved. Students will discuss home remedies in Mexico. Students will also compare and contrast medicines and home remedies in the United States in comparison to Mexico.
